Dr. José Peralta
Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. José Peralta is a naturopathic doctor whose background bridges conventional medicine, evidence-informed naturopathic medicine, and mind-body therapies. Originally trained and licensed as a family physician in Argentina, he practiced primary care for several years before pursuing a deeper, whole-person understanding of health through naturopathic medicine.
After moving to Canada, Dr. Peralta completed his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). His approach combines conventional medical knowledge with clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture, and lifestyle medicine, using individualized treatment plans that address root causes rather than simply manage symptoms.
While Dr. Peralta welcomes a wide range of concerns in general family practice, he has a particular interest in stress-related conditions, nervous system regulation, and digestive health. Chronic stress often underlies issues like IBS, reflux, fatigue, anxiety, poor sleep, and burnout, and he supports this work through the thoughtful integration of therapeutic sound, a modality he has practiced for a decade. He uses it to help regulate the nervous system, promote deep relaxation, and complement his broader treatment strategies.
Dr. Peralta believes the best healthcare is collaborative and empowering, helping patients understand their bodies and become active participants in their own healing. Outside the clinic, he enjoys facilitating community sound baths, meditation, and time in nature.
