Dr. Ming Mei Zhang
Naturopathic Doctor & Registered Massage Therapist
Dr. Ming Mei Zhang is dual licensed as both a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) and Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). She earned her Bachelor of Science specializing in Cell biology and Genetics from UBC, where human anatomy and physiology sparked her interest. From there on, she pursued her diploma of Registered Massage Therapy from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. While working in an integrative clinic, Dr. Zhang learned about naturopathic medicine, and it was through its effects on her own health that she learned to appreciate its patient centered, holistic approach. This spurred her to pursue her naturopathic medicine training from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.
Dr. Zhang strives for a general practice, but due to her own personal experience going through pregnancy, she has developed a passion for prenatal and postpartum care. She also has a special interest in orthopedic conditions, management of chronic pain, metabolic and digestive disorders.
She is passionate about empowering patients to take control of their own health and vitality. As an ND/RMT, she uses an array of modalities such as:
- physical medicine
- injection therapies
- botanical medicine
- clinical nutrition
- and much more to tailor a holistic health plan for each individual patient.
Dr. Zhang is licensed by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC (CNPBC) and College of Massage Therapists of BC (CMTBC), and is a member of the British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Medicine (CAND).
