Conventional lab tests are absolutely critical tools to help us understand what is happening in our body during times of illness. Information gathered can help confirm the cause of symptoms, rule in or out any potential conditions or complications of a disease. Tracking results lets us know if treatment plans are working.
Through our Naturopathic Doctors Noble provides requisitions for all lab tests available at British Columbia Lifelabs facilities. These workups can range from something simple like a fasting blood sugar test to more complicated tumor marker testing, antibody assessments and so on.
Our Doctors have extensive experience in requisitioning and reviewing lab work for most conditions.
When are general lab tests ordered?
Lab workups are not always necessary. Depending on presenting symptoms and severity of the condition lab tests may be required to help establish a diagnosis or to facilitate objective therapy tracking. Occasionally Lifelabs assessments may be requisitioned to achieve a baseline result and often they are included as part of overall wellness programs.
