GI-MAP® Stool Testing: Comprehensive Gut Health Assessment

Uncover the root causes of digestive symptoms, chronic inflammation, and immune imbalances with the most advanced DNA-based stool analysis available.

Precision Assessment for Digestive Conditions

Your gut health impacts every system in your body, from digestion and nutrient absorption to immune function, hormone balance, and even mental health.

The GI-MAP® (Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus) test is a cutting-edge stool analysis that uses quantitative PCR (DNA analysis) to accurately identify bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, and other microbes in your gastrointestinal tract. It also measures key markers of digestion, inflammation, and gut barrier function, providing a detailed roadmap for personalized, targeted treatment.

Who Should Consider GI-MAP Testing?

The GI MAP is an incredible test that gives Noble Naturopathic Doctors the abilty to evalute your microbiome. This innovative clinical tool measures gastrointestinal microbiota DNA from a single stool sample.

This test is mostly reserved for evaluating complex digestive issues that have not been resolved by other means, are causing significant burden to the patient’s quality of life or could have possible lead to another health issue (ie. the holistic approach in autoimmune disease).

Some patients are looking to achieve optimal health via GI MAP results, while other patients have been chronically ill and frustrated without a diagnosis for years.

GI-MAP testing can benefit:

  • Individuals with persistent digestive issues (bloating, diarrhea, constipation, IBS)

  • People with unexplained fatigue, brain fog, or mood changes

  • Those with autoimmune conditions or chronic inflammation

  • Patients with skin concerns such as eczema, psoriasis, or acne

  • Individuals with food sensitivities or intolerances

  • Those who have taken multiple rounds of antibiotics or acid-blocking medications

  • Anyone seeking optimal health through a deeper understanding of their microbiome

      What to Expect

The GI MAP test is an at-home stool sample test that is provided, if warranted, following a Naturopathic initial consultation at Noble Naturopathic.

You are able to take the test home, review instructions and complete the test on your terms. The test needs to be done at least 14 days away from antibiotics and 7 days away from probiotics.

Following the stool collection the sample is shipped by Noble overnight to the lab.

Test results take approximately 10 business days and are reviewed in a 15 minute follow up session with your Naturopathic Doctor.

      When Should You Test?

      GI-MAP testing is valuable:

      • At the onset of chronic digestive symptoms

      • When other lab work has failed to identify the cause of symptoms

      • As part of autoimmune disease workups

      • After recurrent infections or antibiotic use

      • In preventive wellness planning for those at higher risk of GI-related illness

      Where Is the Test Done?

      The GI-MAP is a take-home stool test.

      • You collect your sample in the privacy of your home using the kit provided by our clinic.

      • The sample is then shipped directly to a certified laboratory for analysis.

      • Results are sent to your practitioner, who will review them with you in a detailed consultation.

      Why Choose GI-MAP Testing?

      • Accuracy: DNA-based detection provides precise results.

      • Comprehensive: Tests for bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi — all in one panel.

      • Actionable: Each finding can be linked to targeted, evidence-based treatments.

      • Preventive: Identifies imbalances before they develop into chronic disease.
