Dr. Ana Lopez BSc, ND
Dr. Ana Lopez received her naturopathic training at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, BC in 2007. Her passion for naturopathic medicine began after her own experience with allergies and treatment by an ND. Prior to her naturopathic medical training, Dr. Lopez earned her BSc in Cell biology and Genetics from UBC and spent 5 years working in various laboratories in the research, medical diagnostic, and biotechnology fields.
Dr. Lopez has a general family practice. She’s a caring practitioner and attentive listener who works to build a trusting relationship with her patients. She believes in empowering her patients through education and choice. Her treatment plans are always tailored to the individual, keeping in mind a person’s budget and self-assessed ability to comply with the plan. She believes that health care is a team effort and is happy to refer to other qualified practitioners as it is needed.
Dr. Lopez has a special interest in hormone health, breast health, allergies and sensitivities, digestive issues, neurotransmitter imbalances and skin conditions. In addition to nutritional counseling and supplements, she uses botanical medicine, bioidentical hormones, vitamin injections and infusions, acupuncture and other treatment tools to address her patient’s health complaints.
Dr. Lopez is fluent in Spanish and offers services in both languages. She has two children and a husband and knows all about trying to find balance in a hectic world. She is licensed by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC (CNPBC), and is a member of the British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Medicine (CAND).
